i was learning socket programming in java and then i made a tic tac toe program so it needed a client app and server app,but if anyone wants to play the game he/she has to ask me to open the server in my pc so i was wondering if there is a way to upload my server app as an applet or something so it can work all the time.

An applet works on the clients side. So that is not a solution.

Can't you keep the server code (which I understand to mean a computer player) as part of the applet? It shouldn't be particularly large or complicated.

@Alaa Nassef sorry didn't mean to post here
@Lester Burnham no the server code is that makes the clients play with each other (i.e sending and recieving from each client to another).

It looks like it's time for me to write you a reality check! Or maybe a tiny ad!
