Hi everyone, I passed my scwcd 1.5 exam on 7th Sep,10 but on logging into the certmanager.net/sun i cant find my status as certified in SCWCD; though in history section i could see in EVENTS that i have passed the Exam and then ENROLLED in "Oracle Certified Professional, Java EE 5 Web Component Developer".
My prometric id is same for both the scjp i passed earlier n this scwcd, so thats definately not an issue. Kindly help me guys.
An early response would be highly appreciated

are you aware that the exam changed name ?
it is now actually called "Oracle Certified Professional, Java EE 5 Web Component Developer"
but we'll keep calling it SCWCD because its easier ;)

Yeah i do know of the name Change of SCWCD. The problem lies in the fact that on the database i.e. certmanager.net/sun its not showing that I am certified, it just shows up in the history events that I have passed the 310-083 exam and have been enrolled into the ENROLLED in "Oracle Certified Professional, Java EE 5 Web Component Developer.
Is there something i missed while registering my exam, i took care to take the exam under the same prometric Id under which i gave my SCJP exam, then whats the matter???
Need Urgent advice, should i email Sun about this thing???

Gaurav,
Any progress? Did you got the certificate kit? If so, how did you fix the issue? It seems like the oracle takeover is affecting the process..

Cheers,
Nehal

I wrote at suncert_ww@oracle.com stating the issue, they replied after 2 days in the following words:-
Please note that your Oracle Certified Professional, Java EE 5 Web Component Developer certification has been verified and your certification welcome package is being processed to below address. Please wait 4-6 weeks to receive the same.
And now the database at certmanager.net/sun shows my status as certified now. Issue Sorted absolutely

Well, though the name has changed the objectives are still the very same. Go through Head First SCWCD book twice and once through SCWCD success kit by Hanumant Deshmukh.

Practice as many mocks as you find. Concentrate on the Tags part very well, because thats what where you really put your brains in, rest all is a piece of cake. If you manage well, then 1 month is more than enough to get all set for the exam. Good Luck.
