Given that a currency character is a valid starting character for an identifier, do i have to know all of the possible currency characters for the exam or just the common ones?
I think i know of $, £ and the 'Euro' which i cant find on my keyboard

Thanks

No need to worry, you won't find these types of questions on the exam. I think if you know $ then you are good to go for the exam...

Welcome to JavaRanch

As per me,i think you will not find any of those in exam except dollar($)...

If you are lucky enough you will not even find Dollar($)

The second question is about _ connector character i found a table of connector character

http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/category/Pc/list.htm

Should any one need not to bother with other connector characters as well ?

I think '_' connector is the only one needed. Although following declaration:

is perfectly legal, it's useless.

The exam won't have any questions which try to confuse you too much on identifier names. You can say that symbols in identifiers will be limited to $ and _ . You've got a better chance of getting a declaration like int goto = 10; on the exam then getting a declaration like int $__£ = 10;...
