What would be the symptoms of a failed deployment, other than the context listener wouldn't fire?

If the deployment fails, the context listener won't run.

I'm asking what a "failed deployment" would look like, and how would you check for it?

Isn't that like asking how a computer can check if it's plugged in or not?
