Hey all,

I have registered for the SCJP 6 exam, and i would be giving it on 12th october.
I have read the book by kathy Sierra and Bert Bates quite a few times. I guess my concepts are clear, i just need, rather want to practice questions that reflect the real questions on the exam.
Please suggest me some websites or softwares, or book that provide such practice questions.
Also, please suggest me some final preparation steps for the exam..

Regards,

Komal

Don't be scared. I passed the test today with having read that book 80%. Score was 8x%. The questions on the exam were not as hard as the book was, especially about generics and threads.

Yes it was 86% and I'm pretty proud of it. :-)

What also helped me get 100% in generics was this:

Hey Abrar,

Yeah sure I did the K and S book 2-3 times, because everybody recommended the book because of it's good quality questions.
Apart from that i keep visiting different blogs and groups and websites that contain practice questions for the exam.
I'm doing the mock tests given in this website as well..
Not referring any other book other than the K&S. So let's see what score is get!
Are you reading some other book?

Hi Anusha,

Its usual that while preparing for SCJP we get these kind of thoughts but believe me even after reading the book twice or thrice i am not fully confident of myself. Yes preparing for mock exam shows you your exact status and its definetly helping me.

my advice would be first go through Head First and then come to SCJP book, after that mocks, which you can download from net or use from this forum.

let us know if you need any other help.

Thanks!
Abrar

Anusha, Do as said by abrar and Gari.

Mohit, keep on practicing questions. And as for the test, ask someone who has passed the test, he/she would help you more on scores and stuff. I myself have the exam on 12th and i am nervous as well!
