hi all,
My java application is developed with java.1.3 and deployed in jboss1.4 and i am using Oracle9 as a database which is also in the same machine. Recently my application is responding very slow. Could any one tell me reason why it became very slow.
And while I try to navigate the URL in some area it is showing "unable to extend temp segment by 128 in tablespace TEMP".

Thanks in advance

Looks like your database is under resourced. You can change the database to allow a bigger table space or one than can auto extend.

just now we extended the temp space 500MB to 1GB still same problem. Is it necessary to restart the oracle database and application after increasing the space in temp?

It looks like Java 1.3 hit "end of life" in 2004.

By sticking with this old version you are just inviting trouble. There have been many many improvements since then.

Are you sure that the "same machine" that you are doing all this stuff on is up to the task? Oracle takes a lot of resources, JBoss takes a bunch, your application may take a lot. Do you have 8 or 16 GB of ram on the "same machine"? Is it a fast quad or 6 core CPU?
