I am interested in doing some android development as well but i don't know where to start....

Could you please point me to all the things that i need to start coding some apps for android...

From discussions, i have heard that there is an ADT plugin for eclipse...

Point me to some example apps as well.

Also, is there an android phone simulator for download?

Thanks and appreciate your response!

Hi Vim! The Android SDK has the tool for an Android phone emulator. The ADT plugin works very well with Eclipse and you need Android SDK+ADT plugin+eclipse to get started. Also the later two components are changeable as you can search for plugins for other IDEs too.
You can google for open source android apps. or try some free from Android Market
