I want to write a PDF file in Croatian language... (My locale is in English language) .... My problem is that it doesn't print certain Croatian characters... I tried using an installed Croatioan character and then I even tried using HTML characters (ž) which was viewed properly in the web page, and then tried converting them in to Hexa decimal values in java, still for no use.. I used the following code for that ....

private static String convertedText(String text){
if (text!=null){
try {
while (true){
int beginIndex= text.indexOf("&#");
int endIndex = beginIndex + text.substring(beginIndex).indexOf(";")+1;
if (beginIndex !=-1 && endIndex !=-1 && beginIndex < endIndex) {
String code = text.substring(beginIndex, endIndex);
text = text.replace(code, getCharofCode(code));
} else {
break;
}
}
} catch (Exception err){
err.printStackTrace();
}
}
return text;
}

Can any one please help me find a solution for this.... ?

Thanking you in advance
Nilanka

Which font are you using for the Croatian character? Not all fonts have those characters.
