I bought Hibernate Made Easy, read the first chapter, and went to download Hibernate as it said only to find that the version used in the book is some 3 years old. Well, I didn't download that version and instead downloaded the latest, 3.6.0

All well and good, but apparently the layout of Hibernate has changed dramatically since version 3.2. The book was talking about ejb3-persistance.jar and hibernate-commons-annotations.jar and such, but there are no such animals in 3.6.0 that I can find. I downloaded 3.2 and all the files are there (big lib) just as the book says but it is vastly different from 3.6

Anyone know the steps needed to get 3.6 working? Do I just need the one big

Thanks.

Here's a little JavaRanch thread on rounding up the Jars for 3.5:

Good luck! Let me know if you run into any problems. I'm here to help!

PERFECT!

Note that the slf4j-api.jar is now in the required subdirectory in 3.6.0.

You might want to post a link to this on your site BTW. That's the first place I went to look for an install guide for 3.6.

Thanks.
