Finding the closet element to Zero in a Array

Hi ,

I am having an Array in which i need to find out , what is the closet element to Zero in that Array .
Assume that i am having an array of this type

	int a[] = new int[10];
		a[0] = 1;
		a[1] = 2;
		a[2] = 3;
		a[3] = 4;
		a[4] = 5;
		a[5] = 6;
		a[6] = 7;
		a[7] = 8;
		a[8] = 9;
		a[9] = 10;
		int c = 0;
		for (int i = 0; i < a.length; i++) {
			c = a[i];
		}

Please let me know as how to achive this .

Ok ,

I tried this way

int a[] ;

Arrays.sort(a);

int c = a[0];

But i dont want to use inbuilt Mechanism like Arrays.sort , i want to do it programatically .
Any help i can get from you .

This should always be the first thought in approaching any problem ... after all, how can you teach the computer to do something, when you don't even know how to do it yourself?
