Hello all, I have been told that my connection to the ldap server will need to go through a proxy server. I will not be able to simply pass the url plus port. Has anyone worked with implementing sockets to connect to an ldap server?

I am researching the sockets issue and wondering if it is possible to pass anything 'secure' through a proxy I have no control over?

Hi All, I am stuck, I need to utilize a proxy server to get out of my network to get to an LDAP server. The admins refuse to make an exception. Is there any way to code into existing classes to utilize a proxy server? Any ideas are most welcome! TIA.
