I want to give SCEA part 1.
I have not yet started preparing the topics.
I am SCJP and SCWCD .
I can use my whole day for preparation.
Generally how long it takes to get good knowledge of the topic and get ready for the exam.
If you do some research on previous posts you find different answers from different people. It totally depends on your experience and existing knowledge on JEE platform.
I have seen post where people just spent 2 weeks and there are people who spent 6 months for Part 1.
So there is no straight forward answer on time framework. It can vary from person to person from 2 weeks to 6 months.
Thanks Deepak.
I am 3 yrs experience in web based projects .
I know ejb , few design patterns, dont know web service.
So i was thinking whether that is possible in 2 weeks.

Probably not. The exam is meant for people with more experience. Compensating for that with extra studying works to some extent, but I think it would take more time. It depends on how fast you learn though. It also depends if you are aiming for a high pass score or a just barely passed score.
I think a good starting point is to buy the mock exams. Probably directly from the Oracle. I used the Whizlabs and I went through but not with high score. Whizlabs contained quite good answers to the questions.
Good luck!
