Hi to all,
if I use <%@page isErrorPage="true" %> on the errorPage.jsp example of HFSJ (page 471) I get an HTTP 500 on the link to the page containing the Exception(badPage.jsp) but if I comment the directive all is right and I moreover get the exception description on ${pageContext.exception} , regardless of configuring the <error-page> in the DD or not.
Shouldn't the exception implicit object be available only if the isErrorPage attribute of page directive is set to true?
May I access the exception with no DD configuration at all (I think so)?

if you set isErrorPage="true", then the container creates some scriptlet variables for you. Maybe you've declared them yourself too that's why you get the error. Does the 500 error message say anything about the cause of the exception??
