Hi List, I am a beginner with Web services (and pretty much Java as well). I have a basic java class that adds two numbers and returns the result. Using Eclipse, I did a right click and chose the "Create Web Service" wizard and I was able to create and test the web service. This web service is hosted on WAS 6.1

By default, would this be a multi threaded application on WAS? OR should I create a multiple threads within my class to make it multithreaded?

The WS engine (whichever one it is that you are using) will create threads automatically, so there's nothing you need to do (besides making your code thread-safe - like protecting access to static or global variables).
