I need to edit javascript in real time within a mozilla browser.
And one more thing i can edit the javascript with firebug if javascript is written in
jsp page itself like below

{

</head>
<body>
<input type = "button" onclick="message()">
</body>
</html>
But i m not able to edit if javascript is imported from some other location like this:-

<HTML>
<HEAD>
<script type="text/javascript" src="external.js">
</script>
</HEAD>
<BODY>
<input type = "button" onclick="message()">
</BODY>
</HTML>
please provide some suggestions
