Hei

I am facing a problem with using HSSFWorkbook.
While using this and exporting a table data in .xls format, i am not able to get data of list size of 6. Though this being strange, this happened again for 8 columns.

I have already specified the number of columns creating the desired number of objects of HSSFCell. The number of rows are created using HSSFRow. And further i fill all the cells using nested loops.

For 6 columns, only 5 are displayed and for 8, 7 columns are displayed. I didnt happen to check further.

Kindly help,
Thanks and Regards

Post the code that you're using. Be sure to condense it down to an SSCCE, and to UseCodeTags.

Hiello ...

I pass my header list and data list as follows:

In the above case, if I reduce the number of headers to 6, then only 5 are displayed. I had, therefore, made it 7, 7th being an empty one.

Thanks and Regards!!!

Having an SSCCE would help.

Does this work correctly if you make it part of a desktop application? In other words, without all the servlet /JSF stuff (not that that should make much of a difference)?

Hi

I didnt try it out on a Desktop application. Also, i could not do so as i am working on the web application managed by all these JSF Stuff.

That won't make any difference too, i guess. Since, the response is correct, itz just the number of columns are reduced for 4, 6 and 8. May be even more.

I'll try and report.

ItDoesntWorkIsUseless. I'll say it yet again: post an SSCCE that demonstrates the problem.

Well, we don't know what you tried, and we don't have an SSCCE to try it ourselves, so ...
