I have some WSDL files, but when I try to generate the stubs using the wsimport facility I get the message: "no route to host". What could this mean? Do I need some extra permission or requirement in order to run the wsimport facility?

Regards.

Which URL are you passing to the wsimport tool? That error generally occurs if a network connection to a particular host can't be made.

The URL is located in intranet of the organisation and I was personally wondering whether network restrictions could be a problem. I am also having problems with LDAP authentication and I "believe" the reason for this another issue may be a network restriction again, but I am not 100% sure.

If you don't know the relevant details about that organization's network and how it is set up, then you should go and talk to the organization's network manager. They are there to manage the network and it shouldn't be your job to learn the details of network management.
