Android SDK Microphone or Voice input Facility

Hi,

I need to give voice input in my android application. I am not able to find out that voice input settings in my android SDK. I am using api version 2.2.

How to give voice input in android SDK? Please take me out of this.

While I'm not sure what you mean by "voice input settings in my android SDK", you must have googled for "android voice input" or some such term and found http://developer.android.com/resources/articles/speech-input.html, which mentions a sample app (including source code) that comes with the SDK.

I tried that also.. But it gives "Recognizer not present" message.

So now what to do ?

Are you using an actual device? My understanding is that sound input has problems on the emulator.

You also need an app that handles speech recognition, like Google Voice Search (which in turn needs good internet connectivity, since it sends the audio to Google for analysis).
