Usually the API documentation for a class explains that. And when I look at the API documentation for this class, it's no exception. The very first sentence of the documentation, as it should, explains what it is for.

I tried with "API" I could not understand properly can you please eloborate ?

"Immutable arbitrary-precision integers" ?

Immutable means that instances of this class can't be modified after they have been created.

Arbitrary-precision integer means that instances of this class model integers that in essence can use an unlimited amount of bytes to represent an integer value.
