Hi,
I am preparing for SCEA and would like to procure core j2ee design pattern book and SCEA study guide book.
Can someone please suggest me where I can get any or both of these books?
Regards,
Vineet.

There is a book market in delhi that I know of "Nai sarak" but the shops there are numerous and very small ones. I can give a blind try gng there, but if anyone has purchased the books recently from delhi/noida and can give me the shop details, that would really help.
Regards,
Vineet.

You can definitely get these books in book market.

You need not say its a "blind try", because If there is an indian edition you definitely get the book.

I am not sure if there is an indian edition for "SCEA Study Guide".

Well I am not in country right now, but i am orginally from New Delhi.

If you never been to nai sarak, so don't go with high expectation in your mind, as this is whole sale market and most shops are small in size and most of them have books in their stores somewhere in second/third floor, so we need not worry about that.

On "Nai sarak", there is shop called Khanna book depot, specially for computer books. If there is indian edition of the book, you can easily get there. I dont remember the contact number, but try googling it if you can find and call them before you go. And remember dont forget to ask for discounts, as that's an whole sale market and not the retail one.

All the Best !!!

Why so?

If "nai sarak" is really a book market you should definitely get any kind of book that is available in market.

We get the books in Hyderabad and Pune book markets that way.

Why not in "Delhi"?

That means Delhi is bit backward in comp science than Hyderabad or Pune?

May be i didn't clarify. What i meant was don't expect mall environment. Its a market setup in old delhi, at few years back i guess , it was residence area. I dont know how many years back may be 30-40 years back or more. That's area is whole sale market for everything. Nai sarak is dedicate to books/stationery. And supply goes to different states from that AREA. You can buy from needle to All machines there.

Rishi Shehrawat Did you try Khanna book depot and there is one Janta book depot near IIT in south delhi.
