As many of you already know a game called Minecraft which was made with Java is gaining a large following. I haven't seen it talked about much on here so I thought I would post it in Game Development as present day proof of Java game programming success (even with just one guy working on it). Below are the links to the main website and a overwhelmingly positive impression from IGN. Maybe this will inspire some of you Java programmers to reinvigorate old Java game dreams you once had or spark brand new ones!
