Hi all,

I know this same error has come up for a lot of people, but searching through the messages I cannot find a solution to my issue. I am trying to create a persistence layer using Struts2 and MySQL (I am following an example in the book "Struts 2 Design and Programming"). When I start Tomcat (through Eclipse) I get the following error:

My configuration files contain these sections (my eclipse project is called "Struts2_11" and the main package is "app11a"):

server.xml:

WebContent/META-INF/context.xml:

web.xml:

The class that throws the error (occurs in the line in the "try" block):

The jdbc driver is being loaded correctly (if it wasn't, I would be getting an error before attempting to make this connection). Anyone have any ideas?
