Hello everybody,

I'm trying to program battleships as a destributed application with rmi in that a human player is able to play against another human player or a computer player. I'm not sure about the architecture of the application.

My idea for the architecture is to write a server component which contains the
game with
game controller,
human player with ships,
computer player with an intelligence, with ships and
board1, board2 with fieldobjects.


The client compnents just posting Strings like "login" or "shoot" to the server compnent which does the hole business of the game and delivers the answers to the client components.

I would be very grateful if anybody could tell me wether I might get problems with the rmi structure.

Hi Peer,

I like playing real time strategy games alot but don't know a bit on development side

I suggest you to try in Games Development forum for better responses.
