I need to install RAD 7.5 on my Mac for a class that I am teaching next week. I have searched Google and here and can't seem to find a solution. At the IBM sites they just have Linux and Windows installers, and the Linux installer which should work, doesn't on the Mac from a console window.

Thanks

Mark

Mark,
I know someone who installed it on a Windows VM on a Mac. I'm guessing they did that because they couldn't install it on the Mac directly.

Yeah that's what I am doing right now. But it will probably take about 10 total hours to install. All this for a class I am teaching next week.

I think I found a reason why someone should get fired for buying IBM. ;)

Anyway people have their reasons for using RAD, even though I don't understand when you can install any IDE in about 10 minutes that is a better IDE than RAD.

That's because the MacOS isn't Linux. It is (or was) based on the Mach microkernel and overall is (or was) more like BSD Unix than like Linux. I weaseled this because I'm no longer up to date on details. My only Mac at the moment is a vintage PowerPC 601.
