Scrollable ResultSet

In JDBC what exactly we mean by Scrollable Result Set ............ i know in normal result set we can do next() and go to next record ,, what so special about Scrollable ResultSet

Gaurav,
rs.next() can only go forwards. In a Scrollable ResultSet, you can scroll forwards or backwards.

The thing that made Scrollable Special is that, you will have the capability to scroll to any part of the ResultSet object you which to.
If a ResultSet object returned records from 10 rows.

Scalability implies that after calling on rs.next() 4 times, you can still Jump back to the First, Second, Third row (ie moving the cursor backwards) which is not possible with the default non scrollable connection.
