Hi guys,

I am aspiring android developer. I have downloaded JDK 6, eclipse 3.5, the ADT plug in, and also and android sdk. when I open the android sdk manager.exe, a black box appears for a second and then dissapears. Does anyone know what might be going on?

Thanks!

@Misha

I just ran it in the cmd and got this message:

'SDK' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

...help...? =)

What would you do if any other command returns the same message?

@ Misha - I'm not sure what I would do. I'm not even sure what this message means. Can anyone help me out?

I would search. The very first result in Google for "is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file" returns http://support.microsoft.com/kb/103368

Did you install the JDK? If you open a command prompt and enter "java -version", what response do you get?

Did you set JAVA_HOME? If so, what did you set it to? It should be set such that %JAVA_HOME%\bin\java.exe is a valid path.
