ETS Viewer software - chat function?

I have downloaded the ETS Viewer software to test out the "Oracle Certified Professional - Java SE 6 Programmer Exam" questions.

I was surprised to see a chat function that had a moderator and other people who were currently running the software.

I was just wondering, what was the point in the this functionality? (an attempt to stop Piracy?)

Hi Colin, As I replied to you comment on the chat itself, the chat function was created to facilitate live interaction between users and Enthuware Support as well as among the users themselves.

Even users of trial versions are logged in so it is not really meant for piracy. Also, one can always disable it.

thanks for the responses, Paul I’m really interested in your product it looks really good. I was interested in the piracy angle as I had never heard of your company before, so I it Google. I’m afraid to say that a number of the responses were illegal download sites, that must affect your business practice. I thought that the chat function would stop or at least deter illegal downloads.

For myself I think I’d need all the help I can get to pass the OCPJ exam! So will keep the chat function active :-)
