i am planning to give SCWCD next year in the month of may
so,should i start preparing for the J2EE 5 version or wait for the new version to come
so, should i buy the head first servlets for version 5 or wait for the new book

Hi Mohitkumar,

The advantage of doing SCWCD5 is that you can use the Head First book (second edition) to prepare for the exam. There are no books yet for the new version, so you should get your information from the specifications and maybe som other sources on the net.

I think you may be waiting for quite a while for that next SCWCD. I asked some Oracle guy at Devoxx conference last month about it, and he didn't know any plans for a newer version of SCWCD. Neither Java 6, nor Java 7 will merit it apparently. Probably 8 will merit a new one.

Course, that's all I've heard of it. Still, it was enough incentive for me to start preparing for this one.

Is there any site where i can get confirmation that Orcale is not proposing SCWCD 6?
can bert bates give me any suggestion on SCWCD ?
