Do you mean "send SMS in general" or "send SMS from you phone"? If the former, then the JavaIoFaq has some useful links.

Yes, but do you want to send the SMS using your mobile phone, or just send an SMS in general? There are ways of sending SMS that do not involve an actual device for sending.

In that case, the information in the link I posted should get you started.

Unlikely. In the end, someone has to pay for the SMS messages to be sent. That's going to be one of the following:
1) the sender
2) the SMS gateway provider
3) the telecom provider
4) the recipient

2) and 3) would have to pay way too much for all these SMSes to be sent. 4) will not be happy to pay for all SMSes he/she did not request. That leaves 1): the sender, a.k.a. you.

There is a similar one for PHP provided by Ozeki SMS .I tried it and it is working.I installed Nokia PC suite to get the GSM modem driver in the machine and connected My mobile which acts as the modem. think the in Java also it will work
