Hello Jothy & Arthur,

Could you please explain why some companies
are hesitant to get in the cloud when it comes to
security?

Thank you,

Gian

I would add to this: Companies are hesitant to get into Public cloud, having their own private cloud would be no different from maintaining their own servers.

Mohamed,

Having private cloud is not equal to maintaining your own servers only. because cloud (whether it is private or public) not just keep you away of maintaining servers and infrastructure, but also help in cost reduction, ease of management based on the virtual infrastructure you deploy underneath your private cloud.

So, when we talk about cloud computing, there are different factors to think about:

- cost.
- ease of management.
- dynamic provisioning of your needed resources.
- availability (for some extent, as cloud don't promise 100% availability, practically speaking).
- and much more ...
