Hi,

- Here is the issue: We send notification alerts [emails] to the User. I need to implement "Unsubscribe here" link which should be included in the
e-mail.

I have 2 solutions at the moment with their own problems.

1) Using the concept - reply to unsubscribe-xyz@abc.com with the subject 'unsubscribe me'. (something similar to Apache user mailing lists).
problem: As per my understanding, this one takes much more time, needs to create an official email-id, querying the inbox, etc.

2) We create an ID/hashvalue and include it in the URL whenever we send an email to the user. When he clicks on it, we recognize other credentials and complete the operation.
problem: I feel its a dumb way to create and populate the ID into the database every-time we send an e-mail.

Let me know if my calculations were wrong. Please share if any other probable way exists.

BTW, I am sorry if this is completely an irrelevant section to post this query.

Thanks.

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
