Hello,

I want use different icons for my web applications, so create different favicon.ico 16x16 and put them into

tomcat_home/webapps/application1
tomcat_home/webapps/application2

Restart tomcat, clear cache and restart firefox but I can't see my new icons !!

I don't want insert

<link rel="icon" type="image/png" href="...">

in all my pages !

Where am I doing wrong?

Without the link tags on the pages, it's not going to do anything. That's like saying that you put a JPG in the folder, but want it to appear in a page without an using an <img> tag.
