Hi friends,

I have 3+ years of exp in java, servlet, jsp technologies. Completed scjp and web component developer. Its easier for me to learn and do them since i am working on these technologies. Now i am planning to do bussiness component developer.Started learning by self interest through tutorials and materials. I have aim to become architect. I see my friends are more in scjp and not proceeding further. Since i have less network of people to discuss and experiment in other techonolgies. will you please suggesst me some ways for my dream come true. It seems i started and get jammed at some point. since i not worked in ejb, webservices etc., how i can able to get architect. is that able to go by self learning and practice. since my working environment is like servlet, spring.

Hi Subramaniyan ,

While is it a very nice things to learn on your own and prepare for certifications , it always matters if you have real world experience as well. For an example for you to become and architect most likely you need to have a broader understanding about J2EE platform, not only that in general lot of other things. For example making a judgment call on something. I suggest why not start studying and at the same time pay attention to real world experience as well. Reading literature would definitely makes you strong while doing it in real world applications would make your knowledge much more practical as well. You have got a long journey to go , I do not think you are stuck anywhere , it looks like you are making a good progress

Hope that helps!

Thanks!
