Yesterday on 16-Dec-2010 , i took the OCPJP exam and cleared the exam with 70%. I was not satisfied with the way i performed but, it certainly helped me a lot to boost up my confidence. I was not soo active member of this forum but use to check all the posts regularly and frequently which help me a lot. I was preparing for the exam for the past three months.

The Books which i followed during my preparation was :

Kathy sierra and Bert bates book was excellent which really helped me to clear the whole concept.
JAVA Complete reference - Herbert Schildt
Devaka Cooray Exam Lab was very helpful to judge my knowledge.

I have decided to be the active member of this Forum from now on.. I can assure myself that with the support of this forum i can attain much more in further exams.

I Thank you all of the members of the forum. ( )

Hi Rameez,

After I've passed the OCPJP exam, I came to the same conclusion as you and decided that in parallel to my study I will also involve myself more in this great forum!

Congrats and keep it up

hi,
i've been preparing for the OCJP exam from the past one month. i've lot of confusions over the exam pattern as many give different views on the exam, can you please
provide me with the following details and i'll be very much greatful to the help offered..
i) is there any change with the pattern of the exam
ii) what is the total no of questions & pass percentage??
iii) how many drag & drop questions will be asked??
iv) can you suggest best sites to take up mock tests , chapter wise as well..??

i've been using Kathy Sierra's Exam study guide and Herbert Schildt's Complete Reference books..
