I have just passed SCEA part I, and I was wondering, is there any time limit, within what I must take part II?
In the other words, can I take part II whenever I want, let say in a month-two, because I do not have a time right now, I mean, I am not in obligation to take SCEA part II right now after passing part I, right ???
Till the time exam is available from oracle, i don't see it as a problem and Oracle site also don't mention about this anywhere.
I remember my friend gave part 2 after couple of years (this was for old SCEJA certification). But on personal note i would recommend to give it soon, as concepts are still fresh in your mind after giving part 1.
Hi deepak, I know that, but I have occupied next few weeks (new yer :-), job occupations, etc), so I will be pretty much busy, and if there is no any time limit between part I and II, I will wait a few weeks to pass, so I can commit myself completely on exams.
However, than you on your answer !
A few months is nothing to worry about between the two parts. Note from when you order part 2 you get a full year to finish. It's silly to order it before you are ready to start though because then the clock starts.
I finished my Part 1 in April 2009. Bought the Part 2 voucher and downloaded the assignment July 2009.
I did not submit the completed assignment in a year. Do you know if
1. I have to buy a new voucher and download a new assignment
2. Buy a new voucher and submit the same assignment
3. Do I submit the assignment I downloaded more than a year ago without buying a new voucher?
The SCEA FAQ says -
•How long do I have to complete the assignment?
You have an unlimited time to complete the assignment. The date on your voucher for the assignment has no meaning.
if this is the case then it looks like I can go with option 3 and submit just the assignment.
Can some one knowledgeable please validate if this is correct?
