How do you deal with gem management ? For me, installing gems are one of the most frustrating and error prone process.

Many times the gems are either not found or they don't build. Is there any easy way to remove these dependencies?
I am looking for some remote repository for installing the gems without the need of using a separate tool like Bundler.
