When i looked at Oracle site for 311-232 exam, there are no Exam topics listed.
Where can i find the exam topics?

By the way, I am unable to find Mikalai Zaikin's http://java.boot.by/scdjws5-guide/ in pdf format. Is anyone aware of its availability ?
Can you please provide the link to the webpage which has details of the production version of the exam CX-310-232 (Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 6 Web Services Developer Certified Professional Exam)? I am from India. Do you know whether this exam is currently available in India?
I searched in <certification.oracle.com > for the the details of this exam today (16th Jan 2011). I could find a web page which says that the period Beta exam got over on September 30th 2010.
I got this web page when I changed the Country/Region to United States. As per the information on this webpgae, it looks like the production version of the exam is not available yet.
Can you please provide me the details of the topics covered in the production version of this exam? Any information about the Java Web Services Developer exam would be of great help.
Thank you very much for providing the information.
I saw the following comment from you under the topic "Between OCPJWSD 5(CX-310-230) and 6(CX-310-232)"
CX-310-232 is not yet available (see attached screenshot)
JEE6 exam is newer, has less JAXR :-) and fair amount JAX-RS questions
JEE5 exam is older, has more JAXR garbage and only 1..2 high level JAX-RS question. Plus JEE5 exam has more feedbacks and more study material.]
I am thinking that I can start preparing for this certification according topics mentioned for CX-310-230. (I have to try hard to find time to learn after my office hours ) In the mean time if the new version (CX-310-232) becomes available, I can go for CX-310-232 after learning the additional topics.
I understand that compared to CX-310-230, you are expecting that in CX-310-232 the number of questions on the topic JAX-RS would increase and the number of questions on the topic JAX-R would decrease.
I hope that if I am well prepared on the the topic JAX-RS, I can go for CX-310-232 without much difficulties (if I prepare for (CX-310-230).
Do you forsee any other topics given for CX-310-230 would gain or loose importance in CX-310-232 exam? Also any idea on new topics that may be included for CX-310-232? I understand that you may not be be able to provide accurate answers for my questions, but any guidance/help on these would be of great help for me.
Thanks for your time!
This exam will be available at www.prometric.com/oracle on February 8, 2011.
Any help regarding detailed exam topics would be really appriciated.

They've got a 5 day SLA, and I'll let you know if they respond with anything useful.
You can view the exam topics on our web page http://education.oracle.com/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=41&p_exam_id=1Z0_897&p_org_id=1001&lang=US.

Almost word for word the response I got. (I've had to wrap the URLs in a code tag, because the forum thought I was using an abbreviation for 'please'! :-)
Thank you for writing to Oracle Certification Program.

Regarding Exam Oracle Certified Expert, Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 6 Web Services Developer is already released in production version. Please visit our website
for more details.
I responded with:
Hi OCP Team,
Thank you for your response.
With respect to training requirements and availability, I originally contacted my local Oracle University representative (Edenrollment - copied), who forwarded my request on to you!
With respect to the exam - are you sure it is released in production? The Exam Topics are just 14 lines, compared with (a normal) 4 pages for the version 5 of the exam?
PLEASE ALLOW 5 BUSINESS DAYS FOR A RESPONSE
Will keep you posted.
Yes - just over an hour ago. And totally useless it was too.
Irina, from Edenrollment (my University representative) has been helpful and has said:
We have forwarded your training queries to our Education Advisers who will contact you with more information
However, the people at suncert_ww (The OCP - Certification Team) have just sent me the same response. It's like they didn't even read my mail.
Please refer to the course contents and exam topics while preparing for the exam. Regarding the training requirements you can also call a representative at 1.800.529.0165 Oracle University will be better able to assist you with questions on training.
I've gone back with this, but with a 5 day SLA, I'm not hopeful. I'm really disappointed with these responses and this service is surprisingly appalling!
Hi OCP Team,
With respect, I'm not convinced that your response addresses my question.
For training, Irina (the person I originally emailed) is getting an Education Adviser to contact me - so this is hopefully sorted.
However, with respect to the exam topics, I am well aware that I need to refer to them when preparing for the exam. However, my concern (and the concern of a number of people on various forums) is that the exam topics for this exam are just 14 lines compared with (a normal) 5 pages for version 5 of the exam. To me, these exam topics look incomplete? I'd appreciate it if you could look into this further, as without fuller and less vague exam topics, preparing for and taking the exam is just not feasible.
Sorry to not be more helpful - but I'll keep trying!
Its a bit indirect, but you can get some relation to the topics given in the training and from what is mentioned in the actual exam. And since the recommended training material is also geared for the actual exam, i think its safe to assume that the topics mentioned in the link pretty much covers everything for the exam.
However, I've had some success!
I was just called from somebody from Oracle who told me (and emailed me confirmation) that the certification team have acknowledged and are aware that the exam topics are not sufficiently detailed, and that it is something they are actively working on. He suggested a couple of weeks, but could be a month, and has promised to update me once the topics are amended.
I hope that his predictions are correct and that this provides some reassurance to people on here.
I guess Oracle thinks people are willing to buy the self study cd ($600) + practice exam ($130) + exam cost ($195).
I would suggest you guys not to wait till Oracle decide to release detailed objectives and proceed with reading of specifications.
All new JEE 6 exams released recently by Oracle have this problem, I doubt Oracle will want to provide "traditional" objectives for all of them.
Also, they are busy with JEE6 JSF exam, which still to be released.

Having exceeded their own timescales by some way, I re-chased and have now been told "this will be reviewed next month".
I'm rapidly losing faith in these guys.
I'll keep you posted.
I sincerely appreciate your time on this and thanks for keeping us updated.
Did you happen to get the detailed exam topics?
Greatly appreciate if you could share any alternates or references for preparing this exam.
