A mixture of technologies

I needed to write text that would be inserted into a card.
It couldn't be in my handwriting because I am writing it on behalf of Santa.
I also needed the wife's approval of the layout on the card.

This resulted in the bizarre outcome of me writing a document in OpenOffice, printing it, taking a photo of it and sending the image via MMS.

It just feels wrong.
So does printing a PDF, filling it in and submission via scan-and-email or fax.

A loan officer recently asked me to "fax" him a document... (he said he couldn't accept an email of a scanned .pdf )

fax?

really?

I imagined it taking me several hours of phone calls and driving to successfully "fax" a document.
