I had been using JPA in the same application and had configured the persistence.xml to pick up the data source from the admin console.
Suddenly now i see an error in the logs that says :

<openjpa-1.0.1-r420667:592145 fatal user error> org.apache.openjpa.persistence.ArgumentException: A JDBC Driver or DataSource class name must be specified in the ConnectionDriverName property.

What i have tried to do -
1. I recreated the datasource from the admin console
2. I deleted and recreated the persistence.xml

Above options have not worked.

3. From admin console my datasource tested successfully.

Contents of my Persistence.xml are as follows :

Does someone have any ideas as to what might have happened ? Any help will be appreciated.
