Hello
I am doing a project in JSP and servlets in eclipse with MySQL

I know that we have to copy the class files from development environment to deployment environment under tomcat directory
but for servlets
sometimes I get the error

required resource not found

even if I don't change path

after some observations, I understood it is related to debugging on the server

what is that exactly?
please tell me

In this case, in order to diagnose the problem, you need to detail the sequence of events that lead to your error: "required resource not found".

BTW, with recent versions of Eclipse, I found it's very easy to debug servlet code by running Tomcat on the same computer as Eclipse. That is, you don't have to copy files or connect to remote processes. Have you tried this?

yes that is what I was observing
also I tried the debugger and found the breakpoints very useful

I am using the eclipse first time and trying to learn a lot

could you give some more tips on using eclipse more effectively?
