representing packages

I am very new to oomodelling and design..havnt practised it much..mysimple question is in a jsp project if we are importing a package how do we represent that using diagrams?

It is better to import the specific class/classes that you need and then model a relationship to those classes.

It is also better to display the relationships to specific packages of interest. Some packages may include many classes and instead of creating a messy, cluttered Class diagram, you could simply show the relationship to the "package" (not the specific classes in the package.)
