For Part I -- Do you need to study the JSR Specs?

Do you need to study the related JSR specs to pass Part I of the exam? I have studied the JEE Tutorial along with the book by Cade & Sheil as well as Zaikin's study notes. I also have 7 years JEE development and architecture experience. I realize studying the specs would make you more knowledgeable regarding the subject, but is needed for the exam? Thanks

Welcome to CodeRanch!

No, reading the specs will not help you with the SCEA/OCMJEA. The architect exam is much higher level than that. Even the JEE Tutorial is a lot more detailed than what you need.
