Sounds more like an Ajax issue than a JSP issue.

In my opinion , you should look at Timer and TimerTask in Java , which will be responsible to run a Thread for making insertions into Database after every 30 seconds .
Good luck , Thanks .

How does a TimerTask get the data from the client?

Timers on the server will not be helpful.

For client-side timers, investigate the window.setTimeout() and window.setInterval() methods.

hi
Ravi Kiran Va

Thanks for reply .But i am not satisfy with your answer because I am want auto save like facility which will be client side event .
Thread timer is comes after the submitting the form.

I need a javascript which I can put inside a HTML on the page to
autosave the page every five minutes.

Thanks
