Hi,

I want to have a Huge log file to do log analysis with the use of Hadoop. Just for my own experiment, is thr any way with which we can generate content in the tomcat log file dynamically?

I need 5 o 10 GB file for my experiment with hadoop.

You can just create a simple web application with a loop that does lots of System.out.printlns.

Normally I discourage System.out and System.err in webapps, but the catalina.out file isn't a true logfile, so if that's what you want to process, you should generate a lot of non-formatted messages to it if you want a proper "real-world" simulation.
