So I have been looking to buy a Tablet PC, and have been scrambling around to look for current tablet pc's in the market and the upcoming ones. But really not able to decide on which one. Any suggestions for which one to buy?

And just thought of listing down the reasons why I would want a Tablet PC:
For emails, browsing, JavaRanch
For reading ebooks- mostly related to technical.

But there's another option- Buy a Netbook? So it comes down to difficulty in typing when lying down, need to use touch pad and among others. So do you think a Netbook would be a better option to be considered.

I think iPad has no competitor no matter what other vendors say.
Maybe you may want to check Motorola Xoom if you don't like iPad.
Also, have a look at Nook reader.

I dont know when iPad would be coming to India But surely Xoom looks really good and again when its going to be launched in India is matter of concern. Any other suggestions? So I have Xoom top on my list. Thanks John for quick suggestion.

I happened to miss this update: But is Nook not like an competitor to Kindle? Or Does it suffice as a moderate replacement for the iPads, Xooms, and other tablets around.

So I have been considering- Samsung Galaxy Tab after realizing that I cannot wait for these upcoming tablets to be launched in India. Any suggestions on Galaxy tab? Worth buying? Are 10' displays better than the 7'?

Personally I like the 10' size, this is how the tablets should be. Big screen makes all the difference.
They accused iPad being a big iPod, what about a 7' Android tablet?
Once iPad 2 is out, I will get one.

When is iPad 2 going to be released? And how about the cost? Motorola's xoom looks good as well.

Yeah I had a look, it has some really good features. But again it has a long wait. Also I wanted to see how reliable the brand can be. So I would wait to get the feedback from the users.

Anyways, do they announce the pre-order dates again? And I suppose it has to be ordered from their site?

No body knows, predicting Apple actions is a standalone profession.
