hi all :-)
i new to this wonderful site and perparing for Certification exam
this is my first time to post at coderanch

the problem that when running this program
it prints 9999
but aren't there a wait method with no notify() to resume it's task???
i think the program should run and hold still.
i am wrong so what is the explanation for that

thanks in advance :-)

When you call the wait method on a Thread instance, it gets notified automatically when the thread completes (its because of join method of Thread class). But this is an implementation detail and not written in the specification so it can change and thus the exam will not test you on it...
