Hi,

I'd like to know if Android is used just for mobile devices programming, or if I can use in PC too.

It is optimized for phones (version 1 and 2) and tablets (upcoming version 3), but underneath it's just Linux - you should be able to get it running on desktop machines if you supply device drivers and such.

AFAIK, it has been also ported to set top boxes, PlayStation Portable, desktops, laptops.
 
Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
