Platform agnosticism: Is it really achievable?

Is it really possible to achieve this state? Does your book talk about design decisions that can make an app work across platforms?

Well , we mainly focused on the Android plattform (as the title of the book suggests ;-) ) but most of the material present in this book should work on any webkit based browser (iPhone for example).
