Under the direction of State I.T. management the chosen candidate will support the redesign and UAT of core business applications written in COBOL, and redesign into a Service Oriented Architecture (S.O.A.) Java solution. The candidate will focus on one technology area which is aligned with their existing skills, interest, and the State's needs. The system development is led by a large system integration vendor.

There are a number of areas where help is being solicited in. Experience in one of the following is required for consideration:

- JAVA application development experience using IBM Rational based tools.
- JAVA application development using web services; JEE certified is preferred.
- IBM ILOG JRules.
- IBM Websphere Process Server.
- Working knowledge of Oracle DB and SQL experience.
- Experience with technical configuration of Oracle eBusiness Inventory or Accounts/Receivable applications.

Candidates should have working knowledge of using Oracle database using SQL in any case.

REQUIREMENTS

Citizenship: Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or have a permanent work visa.

Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Technology and one (1) year of experience in I.T.

Note: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science may be substituted for one (1) year of indicated experience.

Note: A general Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the Associate's degree.

Salary seems a bit low for New Jersey. Any chance that you could raise it . Reengineering COBOL with SOA implementation should bring in about 70 or 80 thousand for a new graduate with at least 1 year experience.
