How do you set the java/bin directory in the windows PATH environment?

Right click on My Computer -> properties -> Advanced -> Environment Variables Then find PATH in the System variables list, click edit and append the java directory to the end. Dont forget to use the ; as a separator.

As well as adding your Java™ installation directory, which usually starts with C: and always ends with bin, you want to delete all other Java™ folders from the system PATH. Or add your current Java™ installation before all the other Java™ paths.
